Proudly Supporting all Military Families with a Special Needs Dependent
Nina is a Coast Guard wife stationed in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, but is getting ready to move to Clearwater, Florida. She and her husband, Brian, have been married for ten years.
Her favorite part of being a military spouse is all the things she gets to do and see because of the military. “Where else are you going to get paid to travel the world?” Nina says.
The advice Nina would give herself if she could go back in time would be to “expect the unexpected. I thought I knew what I was getting into. Boy was I wrong. You think you’re going here, but then you’re sent there. Things can change from day to day.”
Nina is a wonderful advocate for her daughter who has special needs. She makes sure that her daughter has the tools she needs to do better and thrive. Nina wants only what’s best, and ensures that all family, medical, and therapeutic decisions are made with the positive thought process of what can make her daughter the most successful.
The Military Special Needs Network honors and salutes Nina Berry as the Military Spouse of the Day! We thank you for being such a wonderful military spouse and an amazing advocate for special needs!
