Adapting Halloween

177549732Life’s never dull over here in Special Needs Land. Nope. Not even on Halloween. So many of our children need special accommodations in every day life. Those needs don’t take a break on the holidays – in fact, we may need even more assistance on those days just because of the sensory assault our kids experience. We may have special dietary or allergy issues that require a special vigilance. We may have disabilities which require wheel chairs, walkers or crutches. We may have sensory issues which prevent our children from enjoying dressing up in store-bought costumes.

But that’s okay!
