Proudly Supporting all Military Families with a Special Needs Dependent
Introducing Samantha Seagreaves, an Army spouse, currently stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado. Sam and her husband have been married for 10 years. What she loves the most about being a military spouse is the people she gets to meet. Everyone’s background is so different that it always brings something special into the friendships. Sam loves how friendships turn into family.
Food Allergies and autism has really opened Sam’s eyes to inclusion and compassion for children with disabilities. She says, “My children really care about other children and are more open minded about people. We have a learned that the smallest act of kindness can go a long way.” Sam offers this advice for other special needs families in the military: “Find time for friendships for you. Make friends with other parents with special needs and those that don’t have special needs kids. We take care of everything for everyone but our own relationships are what keep us going.”
The Military Special Needs Network honors and salutes Samantha Seagreaves as the Military Spouse of the Day! We thank you for being such a wonderful military spouse and an amazing advocate.
