Military Spouse of the Day: Jeremy Hilton
Introducing our Military Spouse of the Day, Jeremy Hilton, an Air Force spouse of nearly 20 years, currently stationed in Washington, DC.
Jeremy’s favorite part of being a military spouse is helping to support our men and women who are protecting our freedoms with their service in the military. He says, “The military spouse community is a small one and, especially in “disability world”, other military spouses go out of their way so often to help each other.”
Jeremy’s daughter Kate was born with hydrocephalus, with a number of secondary conditions. Advice Jeremy would give to other military special needs families: “Trust your gut and know that you are your child’s best advocate. If you ever get a chance, it is a privilege and a responsibility to take what you have learned along the way and advocate for others.”
