Proudly Supporting all Military Families with a Special Needs Dependent
Introducing Michelle Smith, our Military Special Needs Network Military Spouse of the Day. Michelle is a Marine Corps spouse, currently stationed at Quantico in Virginia. They have been living in that area for about 4 ½ years. Her best experience with military life has been the friends that they have made. “We have this connection that we all just understand each other which makes it feel more like a family.” Fortunately, Michelle hasn’t had too many obstacles to overcome with special needs in the military. (We are a little jealous!) The best way for Michelle to “de-stress” is when she gets time just for herself. She says, “Between endless appointments and therapies, running around everywhere can get overwhelming.” Getting a little ‘me time’ does the trick. Michelle doesn’t have much information for those families new to the special needs world within the military, as they are pretty new to it themselves. Just trying to figure out everything as they go.
The Military Special Needs Network honors and salutes Michelle Smith, our Military Spouse of the Day. We thank you for being such a wonderful military spouse and an amazing advocate.
